I thought the food was good. Very solid Japanese cuisine. We got a private table for a birthday dinner. Looks like you are sitting on flat tatami mat but there is cut out for your legs so you sit normally. My mother had trouble getting up from the tatami though. Minimum spend was $300 which was easy to do. Service was very good.

A meal that transports you back to Japan is the definition of a good meal. I had the tamagoyaki of my dreams and don't even get me started on how good the octopus tempura was. I would've never thought to order it myself but that's exactly why I ask for recommendations. Waraku, formerly Wadatsumi, recently celebrated their grand re-opening after renovating the interior & expanding their menu with sashimi directly shipped from the Osaka Central Fish Market. We tried the omakase sashimi and it tasted fresh but I wish there was more on the plate. We also tried some of their cooked fish such as the grilled mackerel and it had a great flavor from how it was cooked. Not as tender but definitely flaky. I would also recommend trying the chicken nanban as an entree because the sweet tartar sauce compliments the tender, savory chicken very well. As for sides, the brie cheese and tomato ajillo was a peculiar item we saw on the menu but it didn't really fit with the Japanese spread unless maybe you get some wine. However, the tofu, chicken, and jellyfish salad is refreshing and a great side to accompany any main entree. We weren't going to order any drinks but water but the waiter recommended that we try sakura sencha and I have no regrets. It's almost like a palette cleanser with how refreshing and unique the flavor is. There's plenty of seating good for groups, for two people, or even private rooms for celebrating a special occasion or having a business meeting. The waiter checked in on us often and we had a great meal here reminiscent of Japan.

Well known place for sushi in Torrance. Located in a popular plaza with lots of parking. Service is quick and efficient. There is seating in the main area, private room, and more seating in the back area. Menu is vast with many options to choose from.

Great quality seafood and very nice interior! This place has remodeled interior and it's very roomy and very modern. Staffs are very friendly and also says thank you in Japanese. Food here is very delicious and fresh. I got the blue fin tuna bowl, and the price is very good considering seafood is expensive and they give good portion of fresh fish. This is a hidden gem in Torrance for sushi lovers. They also have non seafood items like tonkatsu. They have pages and pages of alcohol choices. What I didn't like was that they charge a lot for soda and there's no refill. I didn't order it but I assume it's like $3 for a can of soda. Also this place closes after lunch hour rush. I came on a Saturday at 1:15pm. and they close at 2pm. I wasn't aware at the time they close at 2pm.
